Guest guest
Hello All, Happy Sunday all my new friends. I have to start my saying a big thank you to Dawn for the book, and for all the info. So kind of both of you, I feel very welcome!! I have another question. Can someone give me a list of Hawaiian floral's? I have a couple of old bottles of fragrance oil from the 80's, yes from the 80's. LOL I bought them in an old hippie oil shop, which of course is long gone. Both bottles don't have labels on them, but if memory serves me right they had names like sunshine flowers and musky something or other. I do remember being told the floral one was a Hawaiian flower. So if someone could give me a list of Hawaiian floral's I can start doing my investigation. Again thank you all so much for the warm welcome and any help you can offer. Warmest Regards, nne **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Warmest Regards, nne> Hi nne I don't know if anyone answered this, I was going to but I put it away in my inbox, let tons of other messages sit on top of it, then forgot about it. So, weeks later here is my two cents. Some Hawaiian flowers and aromatic plants are: Pikake(which is actually Jasmine Sambac) Plumeria/Frangipani(Pumeli in Hawaiian) White Ginger(I think they are called Kahili) Tuberose Puakenikeni Maile(actually a vine) Lau'ae(a fern) Hala(pandanus) Ylang Ylang Champaca Most likely what you had is one of the first four flowers-very archetypal Hawaiian scents. Good luck in your investigations. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food.
