Guest guest Posted September 10, 2007 Report Share Posted September 10, 2007 I hope everybody is having a better Monday than I am. I am feeling overwhelmed today, and I feel like crying. Not having any support system or family makes things worse. Waking up knowing I will spend another week alone, with no contact except for the hour I spend with the minister who comes to visit me is depressing. I am not well enough to get out. In fact, I have a doctor's appt. today, and I don't feel good enough to get there. I don't have anybody to drive me. In addition to my endless list of medical problems, a doctor has told me he thinks I may have a long undiagnosed case of Lyme Disease. Because I have MCS, Cushing's Disease, diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, CFS, and EI, I cannot take antibiotics. Hearing that about Lyme was quite a shock, and I hope he is wrong. Sadly though, the more I read about Lyme, the more it seems he is right. It is also listed as one of the ten most undiagnosed illnesses, ones that doctors overlook until you are very ill with it. I know we have to educate ourselves about our medical problems, but sometimes reading the horror stories just gets you down in the dumps to the point you wish you had remained ignorant.
