Guest guest
Regarding Dr Ginsberg ~ we saw him ~ or should I say we saw his NURSE ~ I was not happy at all with him as he didn't even evaluate our son nor did he spend any time with him. My personal experience with that office was not good and it seemed like all they were there for were to dispense drugs. I know medication has been helpful for a lot of children but we went there because he was listed as a DAN DR which I thought meant that we would be treated through nutrition and supplements. I would not recommend that Dr. I have however heard good things about Dr MacAlpine I think she is in Plano. I hope it's okay to give my personal opinion on this Doc. He may have been helpful to others but not for my 7 year old. Thanks,
Guest guest
I think this just goes back to the fact that we as parents have to be very careful and take the attitude of " What gives you the right (training, experience, attitude, ethics) to receive my trust and my money to help me heal my child.? " There are other practioners in Houston who are good but not necessarily DAN! I heartily recommend Andy Vorster, Ph.D. (NAET and nutrionist) and Karl , M.D. (homeopath, and md) Re: Digest Number 1628 Regarding Dr Ginsberg ~ we saw him ~ or should I say we saw his NURSE ~ I was not happy at all with him as he didn't even evaluate our son nor did he spend any time with him. Guest guest
Ditto on Dr. Ginsberg. his nurse was very RUDE, and if you want to see or talk to the doctor, you have better luck to do either with the president of the United states. I decided to do a research on MSG and I found a lot of positive as well as negative information on it so now I'm really confused, but the main thing is that MSG is added to most foods to make them more tasteful. I just feel that in order to avoid MSG, I should basically not buy anything already made or go out to eat at all and since I don't really like cooking because I'm not really good at it we're in a little bit of a pickle here. Yes, I heard that GABA is good for seizures as well as Taurine, but has the GABA stopped his seizures or is he still having them??? Grace .. .. >>> Be careful using GABA is you are taking Depakote. I think they act on the smae receptor sites in the brain. Zoe probably can dig up the details. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Marilyn, I think that the reason I don't like to cook is because I have such a picky family, they all like different things and I was finding myself making four separate meals and that was driving me crazy. I have looked for that book Exitotoxins at the local library and they don't have it at all. I do try to feed healthy meals that are good for her and that she will also eat and I am trying to stay away from MSG and Aspertame.
