Guest guest
Hi to Joana and everyone, It's been so long since I've been online. I've been working overtime and have been too worn out to even check my email. I can only say that I've had about a total of one week of no pain since my surgery. I keep increasing the Neurontin but it doesn't seem to be helping anymore either. I'm taking Vit C and Vit E. I bought two pairs of good sneakers and switch them regularly and I have been able to cut down on the amount of walking I do at work. I've tried everything I can think of to help ease the pain but to no avail. I just keep going on. I try not to think of the pain..kind of put it out of my mind the best I can. I have noticed since my surgery that my right foot will 'scuff' against my left from time to time when I walk. Also, my legs feel like they are going to give out from time to time. I wanted to ask Gretchen about this to see if these were progressive symptoms of CMT. Gretchen your thoughts please? When my right foot scuffs against my left as I'm walking it's almost like I'm tripping over my own foot but not to the point where I do trip. I feel it happening and I'm able to catch myself before I actually trip. Other than that Joana I am good. Tired but I only have one more week of overtime to go. I am trying to work harder on my college studies and I have RCIA classes starting at church in October. I also have classes to teach at work and am a fund raising co-chair for the United Way in October also. So I have plenty to keep me busy for the next month. It's getting alot colder now and I'm looking forward to the holidays but oh not the snow. I'm sorry that it took me so long to get back to you but I have not forgotten about you and think of you often. Elaina.
