Guest guest
From what I read on the Autism-Risk-Safety group amber alerts are for instances of abduction (main criteria) and for risk of death or injury. I have a ticker on a profile page and did not see it listed there - http://www.epinions.com/user-bonniesayers What is the AMBER Plan? The AMBER Plan is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies and broadcasters to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. Broadcasters use the Emergency Alert System (EAS), formerly called the Emergency Broadcast System, to air a description of the missing child and suspected abductor. This is the same concept used during severe weather emergencies. The goal of the AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe return of the child. http://codeamber.org/ There was a poster through National center for missing & exploited children (NCMEC) http://www.ncmec.org/ - they have good information. I signed up long ago and they send posters for those missing in your area. They already removed him from the site, but they did have a poster. Guest guest
Thanks for the clarification Elaine. Do you know what the difference is between the two sites, teamamberalert and codeamberalert? http://codeamber.org/prev_alerts.html Maybe one is national and has the ticker and the other one goes to news organizations.
