Guest guest
Hi Betty and Colin, Thank you for your replies. I think I found out what was wrong with Collin. It is his teeth! He kept saying it was his tummy and then his teeth. I took him to the dentist last night and his teeth are really pushing in. He lost one of his baby teeth and the adult teeth are pushing in. I am thinking that the average kid could handle it. Being that Collin is so Sensory, it is that much harder. I am still concerned that he spits everything out. He is still not eating right. His poor gums are swollen. Guest guest
Jeanette, have you tried some numbs it for him? Some kind of teething medication that might help with the hurting. Maybe a paste with cloves? Evan spits out half his food and then works on it some more. The Diagnostic Center said that he has a problem chewing but school therapist poohooed the idea. ly I believe the Diagnostic Center and we have been working with an battery toothbrush to help with his sensory needs in the mouth. That is about the only one that he will let us work with and he is finally letting us brush all his teeth instead of just the front ones. Evan was slow on the eating when he got some new teeth in but he made up for it later. I guess he must swallow most of his baby teeth because we never see them, just an empty spot there later. Don't have to worry about the tooth fairy there. They did pull two baby teeth at his Dental Surgery appointment last month.
