I know we are not supposed to SELL things here but I thought I might offer

this BAR.

FOR SALE:

Slightly USED Olympic Bar Asking $200,000 (next week it may be more)

You may think this price a little high, but let me tell you about this bar.

Description:

Old, discolored, beat up (maybe even slightly bent) with most of the

knurling worn down or off.

This bar is dented, scratched, oxidized, but still " springy " . It still

feels " alive " and full of power. Excellent for close grip benches.

It has an " energy " that seems to cause " extreme effort " during most lifts.

It even plays a few " plate rattling " tunes (at least they are music to my

ears)

Nothing looks as awesome as when it is loaded with three 45 lb plates on

each side (except 4 or 5 on each side)

Probably the most interesting thing about this bar is who has used it at one

time or another during its lifetime.

I call it the " Mr. Olympia/Universe " bar because it has been used by at

least 9 Mr. Universe winners and 4 Olympia Winners.

Some have called it the " Kareem Abdul-Jabar Bar " and that is how it was

introduced to me.

It inhabited the Encino Health Club for almost two decades, then spent some

time at the Sports Connection in Santa , and finally my gym at SUMMIT

Fitness (Venice, Playa Del Rey, Westwood Manhattan Beach and Century City)

in California since 1983. It was used by many more movie stars and

celebrities than I list below, but I cannot substantiate the use with an eye

witness. I list below the users I either verified, saw, trained or used the

bar with, since I acquired it.

Many TV and Movie Stars frequented the Encino Health Club (all male). I'm

sure Ward Bond (Wagon Train)and Lee J. Cobb (the Virginian and In Like

Flint) may have had their hands on it at one time. Maybe even ny

Weismeller (Tarzan), but I can't verify with a witness that they did so.

This bar has been pushed, pulled, sweated on, lifted, squatted and dropped

by the following:

Arnold Schwartzenegger (Mr. Olympia)

Franco Columbo (Mr. Olympia)

Reg Park (Mr. Universe)

Zane (Mr. Olympia)

Lou Ferrigno (Mr. Universe)

Mike Mentzer (Mr. Universe)

Dennis Tinerino (Mr. Universe)

Boyer Coe (Mr. Universe)

Ken Waller (Mr. Universe)

Bill Grant (Mr. World)

Mclish (Ms Olympia)

Joe Weider (Woodland Hills is only 3 miles away)

Kareem Abdul-Jabar (and other Laker team mates)

Milken (Yes THAT Mike Milken)

Connery ( really only " touched " it in a gym I had in Westwood, CA)

Joe Bonono (Yes THAT Joe Bonono-Howyadoin?)

Mike Love (of the Beach Boys)

Lee Curtis (True Lies, Halloween)

(Ricky 's daughter, Father Dowling Mysteries)

Moses (Falcon Crest, Mason, Melrose Place)

Bo Foxworth (Bob Foxworth's son, Skin Tight)

(Kirk's youngest son)

Lanza (Opera Star from years gone by)

" Bugsy " Seigel (nephew of the real Bugsy)

Mastorakis (youngest competitor in the IFBB Mr. America back in the

60s)

Lionel Ritchie (Soul Singer)

Seigel (Sports and Bodybuilding Hypnotherapist and Muscle and Fitness

Writer)

Rudy (claimed inventor of the " Machine " )

Armand Tanny (writer for Muscle and Fitness, Mr. USA in the 50s and Vic

Tanny's brother)

Mandy Tanny (Armand's Daughter and also a writer for Muscle and Fitness)

Rosie Greer (Football Player)

Bubba (Football Player)

and many, many more, in fact every so often I remember another. (Where was

Elvis when I needed him?)

On second thought, make that $500,000 (no CODs) only CASH or Certified

Check.

Mel you have any bars you want to sell? (with tales to tell)

Regards,

A. Casler
