Guest guest
In case you didn't get the CarePage update: 's 6 week post op appt went quite well yesterday. Dr. Crawford got some good expansion on the VEPTRS and we will re-evaluate in October. Right now, her shoulders are pretty level, in fact the "veptr side" may be a tad higher than the non-veptr side. Our concerns now are for her vertabrae - there is one section in the lower lumbar area that is not as parallel as the other, it looks like it is on a hinge. So we will be watching that. Her chest cavity looks better, but still bears watching. There is also a section of the neck vertabrae that bears some concern - the left side is fused, the right isn't.Dr. Crawford indicated he would be "presenting in New York on Thursday." He has also recently talked with both Dr. and Dr. Emans. Both seem pleased with her progress. We are also keeping an eye on the bottom attachment of her longer VEPTR as it is not as firmly attached as anyone would like, it is basically sutured on. So far, it is holding. On the xrays, I did see a straightening of her spine, not a huge amount, but a straightening none-the-less. She also gained 2cm of height, so now she is at 40". Guest guest
Hi Gail So happy to here your Little Bouncer is doing well! It sounds like Dr Crawford is totally on top of 's needs, which is great! And that she is being monitored by Dr's and Emans is very reassuring. I have been told that trampolines are an absolute NO NO - And I know my nerves couldn't take watching Siobhan on one!!!!!!
