Guest guest Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Carolyn, I would go crazy if he didn't call me after he arrived somewhere. You never know and I'm a worrier. I don't watch tv or the news so if a disaster happened I wouldn't know until I didn't get a call. Plus it is lonely here and the only people I see or talk to is the kids and I would go crazy without a call now and then. Anyway he calls just so I don't worry, often it is just I arrived, couldn't sleep on the plane because I snore and customs took an hour to get through (that was last nights conversation - it took less than 2 minutes) When he is in a hotel he often tells me how great or horrible it is (his company is rarely stingy with the hotels -granted he often has long " day trips " or 1 night in a place, fly backs, but when he has a hotel it is a nice one, the first place he is going has swimming pools, a gym, hot tub and high speed internet, what more can you ask for?). And if he has a speech or presentation he tells me all about that too. And he asks about the kids and how I am doing (I think he worries about me, I'm not always the best of moms and lately he handles a lot of the mini-emergencies that happen daily) The kids also miss him so he calls to talk to him if he can.
