Guest guest Posted May 17, 2000 Report Share Posted May 17, 2000 Suzy, My hgb bottomed at 7.7; ended up in the ER. Doctor took me off treatment and referred me to Dr. Crippen at Baylor/Dallas. I don't quite understand why my original dr. started me out at 1200mg of Ribavirin and only lowered it to 1000mg. When my hgb hit 8.3 I felt pretty bad but at 7.7 terrible. I was so sick that when they told me they were discontinuing Combo because I couldn't tolerate it I was relieved. I had been soo sick I could have cared less. Anyway, now that my hgb is back up and I'm feeling 100% better I want to know from Dr. Crippen if I could possibly start out at 800mg. We'll see. I'm still hanging in. I am about to go to the CMT clinic in Detroit, MI with Dr. Shy who is doing research right now on CMT 1B. He has seen my whole family before me. I am a little nervous to go through the testing there, as my sisters have warned me of the pain. But, hopefully it will confirm that I am not simply a klutz!
