Guest guest
Hey all, I have a new patient who came in today who has a home ultrasound unit that she has been using on herself. Bought it on-line at www.mendmeshop.com, and her final price was $174 US. It's from a company in Canada. It concerns me that she was doing 20 and 30 minutes of ultrasound on herself in one location repetitively in the same day. I was under the impression that ultrasound needed to be done by a licensed professional. Anyone have any official info on this?? Guest guest
Don, I saw an ultrasound unit for sale on a flight magazine. No idea of the watts per cm output. BUt it's pretty scary to think a patient is using it with no training. And that much time could cause periosteal damage. Minga Guerrero DC abowoman@...
