Subject: 2 Clinical Questions

Hello Mates! My first questions is what have you found to be most effective for plantar fasciitis?

My second query is about spigellan hernia, which I had never heard of until a friend told me about his. Any one have any idea what we can do for it? Thanks in advance for any help! Below is just the basics from Wikipedia:

A Spigelian hernia (or lateral ventral hernia) is a hernia <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hernia> through the spigelian fascia <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascia> , which is the aponeurotic <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aponeurotic> layer between the rectus abdominis muscle <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectus_abdominis_muscle> medially, and the semilunar line <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linea_semilunaris> laterally. These hernias almost always develop at or below the linea arcuata <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcuate_line_%28anterior_abdominal_wall%29> , probably because of the lack of posterior rectus sheath. These are generally interparietal hernias, meaning that they do not lie below the subcutaneous <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subcutaneous> fat but penetrate between the muscles of the abdominal wall <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdominal_wall> ; therefore, there is often no notable swelling.

Spigelian hernias are usually small and therefore risk of strangulation <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strangulating> is high. Most occur on the right side. (4th-7th decade of life). Compared to other types of hernias they are rare.[1] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spigelian_hernia#cite_note-larson-0>
