That's funny. I asked a nurse there if we could bring Jake's brother to stay in housing with us , and she said yes as long as they're pretty quiet. I guess it depends on who you ask. I'd ask again. i'm not really too concerned about it. i stayed there one night this last trip afte lexi was casted to be close to the nursing station if i needed them. but since she can bathe and swim at the hotel before her cast, i would much rather prefer to stay somewhere anyway for that.

Yeah, we're staying at a hotel, too, so Jake can swim. Re: Parent housing at Erie

showed us the parent housing just in Dec, but the bathroom situation was kind of strange especially for my hubby!!! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which they dis give us a little discount from Shriner's. But the rooms were awesome since was getting her first cast off and could enjoy baths and more!!! They have rooms with a big jacuzzi in the corner of the room outside of the bathroom. Really convenient since I knew we would be soaking for a long time and we could watch TV at the same time!!! Hope this helps.Sue(2-23-04)> >> > Can someone tell me what the parent housing is like up in Erie? > How are the rooms and bathrooms set up? told me no on the sibling...the only exception they make is for nursing babies. My other alternative would be to just come up with Ian myself and stay in the housing. Hmmm...gotta think on that one.

Hey , Cole and I are coming by ourselves. So, if you come without the rest of your family, I'm there at the same time as you. We can talk and go to the cafe together. I just talked to my husband and I have decided to make the trek up there by myself provided they still have housing available. So, you can show me the ropes :).

Ian gets his cast off at 5 pm and then gets the new one at 11:30 am. I have an 8 hour drive, so we will get on the road at 6 am to be sure we make our appt on time. Not looking forward to that at all. I will stay over the 19th because I don't want to drive late at night.
