Guest guest
This electricity issue is strange. Back around Nov or Dec I was zapping every computer I touched out of about 5. I was real concerned as this is not a good thing for computers and didn't feel real good to me. The lady in the room that I was trying to help got a kick (sorta) out of it. She didn't get zapped by anything in the room -- except maybe me once or twice. The Today Show did have a couple from San Diego, CA (you wouldn't think that area would have mold issues but...?) featured on story. They weren't real sick but woman said her son/s, who were quite young, had asthma so said she would be cleaning up the house now, and was surprised by all the 'health problems' found. I found the electricity thing real interesting too. I have two computers on all the time and more than one tv set on sometimes just as 'background' noise so perhaps that isn't good. Woman said you can get something that you actually switch the circuit breaker off at night for bedroom. I don't know how that would work. House could also be near high electric transmitters. Something else to consider. I shock everything and everyone during the winter but I think in my case it's dehydration. I guess I could be 'charged' also! I certainly sit in front of my computer enough. I also have a Tivo going constantly, which is a computer that emits a constant faint sound that reminds me of tinnitis/(ringing in ears) that I've gotten used to but is proof of electricity it is sending off. You can't turn them off or they can't tape shows. They tape all day and all night. Whatever time you turn on television, they have the last 20 minutes of whatever channel it is tuned to, so if you tune it on at 15 min past 9 and you like the show that is on, you can back up tape and watch it from the beginning, etc. Maybe I will unplug it before I go to bed. I wonder how well the moisture meters work. I see them from $30 to over $400. Noone testing for mold came with one. Well...they did come with hand held gauge that gave the percent of humidity. I thought that was handheld humidity gauge, but maybe it was moisture meter..? It wasn't a 'feature' story. It lasted about 5 minutes but at least it was something and they discussed topic of perhaps your home is making you sick! I looked for info on segment on the Today Show website but couldn't find anything, just got info at greennest.com, which sells a CD on topic, products and other things. > > > I'm sorry I missed this!!!
