SURVEY: Life after mold

To KC, Sharon, and ALL members:

I need everyone's help and networking abilities.

I know that most of us that still post after years have lingering health

issues after our exposure to molds. This forum has a lot of good information

that has helped immensely for thousands over the years.

What I am proposing to do, is a survey (not limited to Sickbuildings), but for

all the persons that can be contacted somehow, in how mold exposure has affected

their lives. This is to include general questions of financial, social,

career, health, family, how have you chosen recovery- western medicine or

homeopathic, how exposed, length of exposure, and other areas. This is to be

aimed at persons or families 5 years after exposure or longer.

It is important that this to be a demographic across the board, if at all

possible.

I know there was a survey done several years ago, but it has been lost in

" cyber space. " From Shoemaker's book, " Mold Warriors, " in 2005, his office felt

as if over 25 million persons were affected in the US. If 80 to 90 % of those

people have really totally recovered, wouldn't that be worth something, but if

that recovery percentage is inaccurate, wouldn't that be worth something too?

Some of the recovery information that even the " known " doctors are touting I

think is questionable. How on target is Shoemaker's recovery percentages? How

many persons have been to any of the environmental doctors? How many are too

sick or financially are just trying to make it themselves.

As on member recently posted, possibly this could be a way to network and have

a " friend " to talk to, because I know with all I've been through, in the last 5

years; if it were not for my " mold support group; " I would not be here.

I think it's time for there to be serious constructive feedback from victims

as to the ramifications of mold that need to be funneled to the medical, health

and government as to what has happened to our lives as a result of our little

fungal friends.

This is to be a confidential survey. I have already created an initial draft

of the survey.This is a HUGE undertaking, I have a few persons interested in

working with me to gather and correlate the incoming information. And I have

connections with the right persons to get this information routed properly.
