Pre Season Mold Inspect

http://cfn13.com/story.aspx?sid=15697 & id=4

Our ground is dry, our fields are parched, and fires are common.

All too soon Central Florida's afternoon rain storms will become a

common occurrence.

Where there's rain, there's mold.

To prevent a science project from occupying your home, moisture

control is paramount.

Here are the most common places where mold likes to call home inside

your home:

The hot water heater is a popular place. The heat, mixed with

darkness and a little leak, can lead to a lot of mold.

The back of your toilet can sometimes harbor more than water. The

commode could be concealing mold.

The shower is also an incubator for the mold. The stuff can hide

under caulk and places you don't traditionally see. Out of sight

doesn't mean out of mind.

Up in the attic where the light levels are low and the climate is

hot, a leaky roof can allow moisture in and mold to grow on wooden

beams and insulation.

Is your wallpaper bubbling or pealing? This may be a sign that

moisture is seeping into the drywall behind your wallpaper.

Don't let that sprinkler consistently soak the foundation of your

home. Over watering doesn't only fuel mold, it also costs you money.

That's a look at Your Home.
