I love kashi with ff cottage cheese, spinach, sometimes a few grapes and a

drizzle of raspberry vinegrette.

Re: Kashi Good Friends

Good Morning! I bought some Kashi Good Friends cereal last night and

would like to incorporate it into my diet. I strictly adhere to BFL

nutrition. Does anyone else eat this? I usually don't have skim

milk in my diet, but I would obviously want to add it if this cereal

would be healthy form of carb. Thanks.

I use a cereal sometimes, with soy milk. Once again it¹s all about portion

size. I don¹t know your age, but if you¹re past about 35, 40 soy milk is

good for alleviating those pre-menopausal troubles.

If you have Kashi Good Friends cereal, you need to keep the cereal and

milk portion small and still have another source of protein like a

shake. For best results, watch that your total carb intake for the

meal doesn't go above about 35g. Cereal and milk adds up pretty fast.

I like Kashi Go Lean Crunch because it's great mixed with cottage

cheese and berries and sweetened with splenda. Good Friends might work

but it has bigger pieces that are less mixable.

Also, check out Kashi GoLean waffles. Two of them have 33g of carbs,

6g of fiber and 8g of protein. You can top them with sugar free syrup

and have a separate protein portion (like Morningstar Farms veggie

sausage) or you can top them with blended cottage cheese and splenda

and berries.
