Guest guest
Just my opinion, but salad dressing, peanut butter on an apple, pretzels, and some grocery store samples does not a free day make. :-) I would suspect that you lost it the next day because you didn't allow yourself to have anything really fun. Next week plan to include something special that you can look forward to, maybe a meal in a favorite restaurant or a deluxe dessert. That way you can start the following week feeling thoroughly satisfied, in control of your choices, and eager to get back to your clean eating. Don't even sweat the things you ate today. Basically, you had free day today instead of yesterday. No biggie. I don't even think you fell off the wagon, you just drove along in the ditch for a little bit. :-) And if it makes you feel any better, my free days tend to involve french fries, fast food burgers, pizza, Doritos, and Ben & Jerry's by the pint. Guest guest
I'll tell ya - that happens to me sometimes too. I think it's because my calories are too low sometimes and that causes binging (sp?). Perhaps you could take a look at that.... > > I'm here just to get out what I feel so guilty about. Guest guest
<<I think it's because my calories are too low sometimes and that causes binging - Perhaps you could take a look at that...>> This is so true! Usually the cause of idle snacking, fridge roaming, and the canteatjustone syndrome is caused by too low of calories. Its like a signal to the spot in the brain to eat more which is usually not the best choices (like any & all processed carbs). Also I find its what you were eating BEFORE this binge attack happens, so check out what your previous meal was composed of and you might find that usually its because there wasnt enough protein in the meal. Or could be the carb portion not only was higher but of the higher glycemic nature as to roller coaster your insulin response which sets off cravings. Protein has a way of clicking on the little satiety button in our brains. Many times when stretched between making a next meal - overly hungry and ready to grab anything - I will have a 1/2 scoop of protein powder in a cup of milk to settle down the craving demons until mealtime. <<joni>> *not all carbs are created equal*
