Guest guest
That's FABULOUS Jules! You have motivated me to go and get my measurements done... I didn't take any at the start (didn't want to know), and now I'm 4 weeks in - another 8 weeks to go, so not too late to take some statistics. Congrats on your results - when are we going to see some photos? :-) > > Happy THanksgiving to all!!! > > Here are my results from the fitness test: (September 14, 2004- > November 24th, 2004) > Description-- 9-14----11-24----- Category > Body fat: 21.7% 17%------ Excellent > Bicep Strength: 61 62--------Excellent > Back Flexibility: 60 62--------Excellent > Systolic BP: 129 130-------Fit > Diastolic BP: 86 82------- Fit > Resting Heart Rate: 86 84---- Fair > Aerobic Fitness: 28.9 30.7--- Fair > > Total Fintess Score: 74 (Fit) 78 now (excellent) > > From this workup I need to work on my resting heart rate and my > aerobic fitness level... Guest guest
<<I need to find a site where I can figure out my lean body mass...>> Check out this link - you can figure out how much bodyfat you lost and also how much lean muscle you gained: http://www.geocities.com/jgrrl2/math.html <<I also need to figure out what I need to eat, do, etc. to keep the bodyfat lowering and the fat loss losing>> Probably what you have been doing just more consistancy ;-) Post a separate post with what you normally eat and see if we can give you any pointers (altho I doubt it because youve done fab so far!)One thing I always recommend is to eat more fiber (at least 30grams a day) which helps transport bodyfat out of your system. Also have a look thru 's site (Skwigg) if you havent already that is - she has lots of good articles but let me point out a few that might be what you need: The Truth About Stubborn Bodyfat by Tom Venuto Maximum Results by a Metabolism by Likness Heart Rate Zones (under the Exercise section) The above reads plus more at: http://skwigg.tripod.com/id24.html <<joni>> *Lift well, Eat less, Walk fast, Live long*
Guest guest
Great job, Juls! I'd keep doing more of whatever you've been doing. It's obviously working. Check out the Microsoft Excel fat loss/muscle gain calculator in the club files section: /files/ It makes it easy to figure out changes in your lean mass and set realistic goals. Also, check out the Ab Boot Camp routine. That can be used three times a week on cardio days to really step up your ab workouts. I wouldn't recommend doing abs every day (or 5 days). Train them hard and let them recover just like any other muscle group. I was looking at the " Pro's Point of View " in Oxygen a couple of weeks ago and they asked several top fitness competitors how often they train their abs. Nobody with the six-pack-to-die-for trained their abs more than 3 times per week. Most of them said once or twice a week and most of them used weights or resistance to make the muscles well-developed and visible. Here's one of my old posts on abs: http://www.skwigg.com/id31.html Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I have to go to work pretty soon. :-( But I get paid double-time for sitting around eating pie and watching the Seinfeld special. :-) On Thu, 25 Nov 2004 13:37:26 -0000, <goheen@...> wrote: > > > Happy THanksgiving to all!!!
