bonjour yet again,

I spoke with Anya this morning and she wanted me to share what I'm doing:

opening a Perfume Salon in my home here in Seattle.

I love having a place where a room is devoted to perfume making, and a sweet

place where clients and friends can chat and relax enjoying the perfumes from my

collection, sniffing some essences, peruse my perfume books etc.

It's a large room with a fairly high ceiling and a wide window to the west, so

when the sun does shine in Seattle it pours into the room. In the southeast

corner a shell capiz lamp glows over a shelf with gold coloured vintage Grasse

perfume bottles just like the ones seen in many French perfume labs. My

grandmother gave me a heirloom gold framed mirror that hangs above the shelf

decorated with patterned paper on which my perfume collection is present. There

is a pretty glass with perfume touches for clients to spray a sample on first if

they wish before trying it on the skin. All my perfume flacons are beribboned

with silk and individual labels.

My copper table is lined with my essences and a gold tray with more samples and

solid perfumes to try. Favorite books line the southwest wall area and a cool

rug that has an abstract floral pattern on brown, lavender and gold centers the

floorspace.

My husband diligently placed track lighting with spots to highlight the copper

table, the perfumes, Giselle, the model form covered in ravishing silk and fur

coat, and bookcase with more goodies on offer. On the north wall hang my 3

diplomas from Aftelier Perfumes celebrating my completion of Mandy's perfume

workshops.

days/hours open.
