Health visitors are ideally placed to work with parents to increase their capacity to provide stimulating and nurturing environments for their children. How well they do this depends on the education programs available to them and the support and leadership they have available to them in the workplace.Sue Kruske will provide an overview of services available to families in Australia and the skills, knowledge and attitudes the health visitor workforce require to be effective.
