Guest guest
The liver plays a major role in metabolism, digestion, detoxification, and elimination of substances from the body. It is important when you are chronically ill to make sure the liver has an opportunity to detoxify properly and rebuild liver cells. Certain foods should be avoided and certain foods added. I have done much research on this topic in order to help my body heal itself. Here are some important diet considerations: Papaya juice and beets, and lemon and water are great for your liver. Too much sugar and fat should be avoided, of course. Do not drink soft drinks. If you have liver disease, I read that you're supposed to be on a low fat/ low protein and high carbohydrate diet. You should try to eat as much Organic foods as possible to try to avoid more of an overload on your liver. Don't forget, your liver has to process and detoxify chemicals and pesticides that are in your vegetables and fruit. You want to try to eliminate the overload on your liver as much as possible, so sugar, fats, fruits and vegetables with sprayed with pesticides, coffee, etc. should be eliminated as much as possible from your diet. A person who has " anger problems " or depression, very often has some sort of liver dysfunction. http://www.liverfoundation.org/db/articles/1022 Cyndi
