Guest guest
Lets see...last night before I went to bed, I was abnormally (for me) gassy. (I complained of this the day before too but no response...understandable I guess..haha) but yeah, so last night I am hurting so bad in my tummy...really gassy and whatnot..kept going over and over in my mind what could cause it--(since this is my first week on BFL--and I am rockin by the way with eating and exercise) Well I thought, " Could it be the amount of cottage cheese? " -since I too am a huge fan of the cc treat with oats and blueberries- " Could it be the Udo's? (That I began taking three days ago?) I added a little All Bran to a recipe or two maybe that was it? I just couldn't figure it out---Well I was up all night with an upset (really upset) stomach...Then when i did finally fall asleep I had the most vivid awful nightmare ever (haven't had a nightmare in years) So that woke me up---managed to finally doze off ---then this morning when I woke up Aunt Flo barged right in-----so I figured maybe my " upset stomach " was Cramps?-- but I CLEARLY know what cramps feel like and plus that doesn't explain the fumigation coming from my backside...(great post I know.) No, but I really would like any feedback from anyone who may have experienced unexplainable " GAS " ---my god this is embarresing- But on a lighter note... Thank god it was my UBWO day, cause I don't know if I could have managed HIIT this morning with the way I was feeling. But I got up- had half a myoplex lite shake with a few strawberries and half a banana...waited a bit-took a motrin- and TOTALLY ROCKED on my UBWO....I KNOW I will be hurtin tomorrow as my arms (forearms especially) right now are shaky..still- But yeah, my workout went great this morning-- Then for lunch had a romainelettuce grilled chicken salad with UDO's and RedWineVinegar (is that ok?) and Canteloupe..that was at 1145 Then at 245 I just had the cottage cheese treat.... *I am at work right now* So I packed a tuna packet with frozen grapes for meal 4 then chicken breast, brocalli, and an apple for meal 5 So anyway---as the subject reads..sorry for posting about my gassiness...but I figured one of you might have dealt with this before- PS--I got Betagen today at GNC for 12.95 (talked the guy down) well, I didn't really read up on it, just heard a little and since it was on sale I bought it--then I came home and did a search on this board for Betagen and sure enough there was some pertinent info on the stuff...per Sqwiggs site, she said ya might wanna hold off on Betagen if you are wanting to feel and see some " weight loss " results and whatnot...so I am indeed going to hold off for a few weeks and simply stick to the BFL plan, so far so good----minus the GAS! Guest guest
LOL, a. Well, your gas issues could be due to any of those things you mentioned if you didn't normally eat this much CC, fiber, or protein in general. Someone else had a similar issue a few weeks ago and was told that the EAS helpline people usually blame it on the increased protein intake. If that's the issue, you will get used to the extra protein soon and stop having problems. If you still have issues in a few weeks and were not a dairy fan before starting BFL, it's possible that you have a bit of lactose intolerance. Although most Caucasians have no problems processing lactose, other ethnicities can have issues with dairy if they spend ANY significant amount of time with no dairy in their diets. For instance, I'm Asian but never had any LI problems until I went into basic training and didn't have any dairy for over 2 months. When I finally had some dairy again after those two months, I found out that I had developed lactose intolerance. If LI is your issue, pick up some Lactaid to help you process that CC. Guest guest
Gas-haha umm, boyfriend said the Udo's Oil probably is the culprit, but if thats the case I will have to continue to be gassy cause I need the EFAs....hmm....I think it might just be the change (for the better) in eating Betagen--Its normally 39.99 at GNC (according to the bottle) then they had it marked down to 19.99, then I signed up for a Gold card..then he said since it expires Dec04 that he'd mark more off.... Should I worry about the expiration date since I don't even plan on using for about a month?? > > > > Lets see...last night before I went to bed, I was abnormally (for > me) > > gassy.
