Gotta Get My Act Together

Hi all,

I've been off and on with BFL. When things are going well, I feel good and

my weight is stable. I get busy and get off the program and the weight

starts creeping up.

Here is my question. Because of things going on in my life, I can only work

out 3 days a week. Has anyone had any luck doing the aerobics and weights

on the same day? I would probably do only half the reps on the weights. My

thinking is a little is better than nothing.

Hi Cinda,

I just received my Fitness magazine and it states again that it is

alright to do cardio and weights in the same day as long as you do

your weight's first to ensure that your muscles aren't to fatigued

to lift and that you allow 24/48 hours between muscle groups. Hope

this helps. Bobbie

Yes, do what you can do. Right now I can only work out 5 days a

week, which is much easier than 2! But on some days I do cardio at

lunch and my weights in the evening or morning. If you do them at

the same time, I'd suggest doing weights first.

Hi there Cinda! I can only work out 3 times a week as well. And it

varies week to week how much time I have those 3 days to work out.

So some weeks I only do weight training, some I only do cardio, and

some weeks I have a mixture.
