Don't let something like that discourage you. It's normal for your

weight to fluctuate several pounds a day for no reason at all. Here's

the " Why the Scale Lies " article.

It's best to only weigh yourself once a week, the morning of free day,

before you've had anything to eat or drink. That way you always have a

full week of clean eating behind you.

On a program like body for life, scale weight can be pretty deceptive.

It's all about getting leaner and smaller. So, go by your measurements

and percentage of body fat, not the scale. You can get a whole lot

smaller without getting any lighter. Check out the comparison picture

of 5 pounds of fat versus 5 pounds of muscle.

If you have any doubts about your food, post a typical day's menu and

get some feedback. Also, check out Hussman's site. The whole

thing is good, but in particular read the part about how " You Really

Do Change From the Inside Out " http://www.hussman.org/fitness/#inside

has some great advice. Just wanted to chime in and say hang in

there. Keep up the good work and have patience (ha easier said than

done I know!). But I promise if you work the program, it really

works well. My weight has fluctuated quite a bit this " challenge "

but overall I'm down more than 2 " waist through hips so I'm not

complaining.

Thanks. The pics of the fat and muscle help and are hilarious.

Here is what I ate today.

BF power pancake with all fruit

Mid morning - Veggie patty on whole wheat bread

Lunch - Corn and tuna (I know that is gross and weird)

Mid AFternoon-apple and string cheese

Dinner-chicken and salad

Maybe a ricotta cheese dessert.

In addition to other responses, I have to tell you that I fluctuate

3 to 4 pounds day by day. sometimes up, sometimes down. However, the

last time I weighed myself I was about a pound and a half heavier,

yet I had lost many inches. Your weight is a very poor way to

measure your progress. Take your measurements, or use a tight pair

of pants to measure yourself. Keep eating clean, keep working out,

and the rewards will soon follow!
