Antibody Tests

Does anyone know the answer to this. I want to be tested for fungal

infection. Everyone uses the antibody test rather than do cultures

that I have heard of. With antibody test, if I am rigidly following

diet like Dr Marinkovich's diet, that strictly limits carbs and

ingested mold and mycotoxins, and it helps to lower the activity of

fungus in my system, would that result in low count of antibodies

also. I would think it would but I'm not sure. I asked person in

doctors office and she said no but I don't trust that source of info

and test is expensive. I could write doctor personally but that will

delay test and I will have to reschedule appt, etc. Perhaps someone

has already talked to their doctor about this and knows?

I know in some tests they tell you not to take Vit C and other anti

infectives several days before a test as it can creat a false

negative, so was wondering if low or no carbs may do the same thing.

I have a Rx to take a fungal antibody panel but I feel I should eat

carbs for a few days beforehand so it gives a truer reading, but I

hate the bad side affects I get when I eat carbs, most especially sore

throat and trouble sleeping, and allowing them to do more damage.

I'm sure most people that would take test would not even know enough

to be avoiding these things, and my results are compared to general

population that takes test I assume.
