Guest guest
I have the same problem as of late....I haven't been too creative but have come to realize that in order for ME to succeed--I need to take THE TIME and prepare some meals...whip up larger portions and freeze the stuff I don't use...Under the file folder you will find an in2nutrition link posted by maggie (THANK YOU MAGGIE) that has over a HUNDRED meals (everything from EASY bars, shakes, etc...to dinners, sweettasting treats, etc... I printed that out today, highlighted my meal choices for the next week...then took note of what I needed to buy at the grocery store in order to prepare those meals... Now after tomorrow morning when I go to the store, then cook up some of my meals, I will no longer have to take -turkey slices, grapes, and 5 almonds or a tuna packet, an apple, and celery....to work when I am in a hurry....I can grab one of my " chocolate bars " or " cinammon raisin bran muffins " that I made via those recipes... Gotta get creative and take a little time to prepare your meals... (blandness and boredom with meals will inevidably lead to failure...) AND I WILL succeed....as I know you can too! Good luck! > > Oh boy, I am always on the go go go during the day. I need meal Ideas > I can bag and eat while working or moving between offices. Anything > that I can chow down quickly. Guest guest
Others can help too, but I like: -1/2 whole sandwich with 3oz turkey tomatoe and avocado slices -2% cottage cheese in the " snack pack " with your choice of fruit -apple and string cheese (it comes portioned out in a plastic sheath) - one of maggie's famous muffins.... > > Oh boy, I am always on the go go go during the day. Guest guest
My favorite " non-bar " meal to eat while I'm working is lowfat string cheese and a few dried apricots. It's finger food, quick to eat, and it doesn't smell up the room like tuna and crackers. Sometimes I have Ostrim ostrich jerky instead of the string cheese. It tastes just like beef jerky but it's low in fat and calories and comes in different flavors. I like the barbecue or teriyaki flavors best but they're all good. http://www9.netrition.com/ostrim_page.html Carry along meals Oh boy, I am always on the go go go during the day. I need meal Ideas I can bag and eat while working or moving between offices. Anything that I can chow down quickly. No boiled egg whites or foods that are too smelly. Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean. Here's what I do, and I pack it all in an insulated nylon lunch box with a blue ice block: One day's food: 1. 1 6oz can tuna, in Tupperware, with lemon and cayenne (Fire eater) 2. 2 3-4 oz chicken breasts, sliced up 3. 3/4 c. cottage cheese with berries 4. 2 green salads w/veggies: add chicken to each with lemon and avocado 5. 3/4 cup leftover brown rice 6. a container with sliced avocado, lemon, and a serrano chile 7. a piece of fruit This will all fit into a reasonably sized lunch container. I mix the different things together throughout the day, and the blue ice keeps everything nice and cold. And it's yummy, and other people are actually envious of what I'm eating.
