Subject: Lunge Lesson

Oy. My arse is on fire, and NOT in the hemorrhoidal way! Hee hee hee.

Yesterday I was all, " oh yeah, I'm stronger, I can do lunges so much

better... " Yada yada yada...

Today, I am so sore!!!! When I do multiple sets of leg curls and

leg presses on machines, I am never as sore (if at all) as I am when

I do just 1 or 2 sets of lunges and squats. Here's a lesson: Your

body weight provides the best resistance! Oh man, I am in pain...but

in a good way! I'm thinking Lunges and Squats are better than using

the machines, but I still think I'll do machines in addition to the

squats and lunges to keep my body guessing...

Just had to share!

Reminds me of years go when I took an aerobics class. At the end we

had to do 6 or 7 sets of walking lunges across the room and back.

Piece of cake...at the time...but I don't think I could use my leg

muscles sit down for a week!

Oh man...thanks for all the lunge anecdotes and sympathy guys...I

felt no pain doing my cardio today (other than the typical trying to

hit my 10's discomfort) but as soon as I got in my car and sat down,

then got out, I was sore again! Oy! This is good though! My little

muscle fibers are making themselves bigger, better, FASTER,

STRONGER!
