Guest guest
Family wonders if volunteer's death caused by Hurricane Katrina KATC - Lafayette,LA,USA http://www.katc.com/Global/story.asp?S=4872062 LEXINGTON, Ky. Donna Knight says helping Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans may have led to her husband's death, but she has no doubt he'd do it all over again. Delbert Knight, a 69-year-old, died April fourth in Lexington, Kentucky. His death came less than eight months after he drove a bus and transported evacuees from the flooded city of New Orleans in the days after Hurricane Katrina. Doctors said Delbert Knight had histoplasmosis, an infectious disease of the lungs caused by a fungus that grows in soil, mainly soil contaminated with bat or bird droppings. They can't pinpoint whether he contracted it in New Orleans, although doctors said it is a possibility.
