Guest guest
Just a comment… I don’t have any Mo on my shelf now, and having been disconnected for a while, am not certain what elements our brilliant government considers dangerous right now – it sounds like Mo is now one of them, but I have used Dolisos (who is now owned by Boiron) exclusively for Gemmos and oligos for 4 years now with excellent results. And the Gemmos are far more practical to purchase and prescribe because they come in sizes from 30ml to 250ml. I think they produce an excellent product. Not completely positive. Any comments? But maybe Dolisos would be a resource. I think they make Oligoelements. I don't think any company makes the quality of these remedies that Seroyal does but I haven't tried them so who knows. I don't think this is just a Canada thing. Yes - it could be applicable to this sulfur-food concern. Polinsky, ND Vancouver, B.C. With the liver/GB connection that would make sense. I've been coming across many patients who are sensitive to these foods based on VEGA food sensitivity screening and I've been wondering why folks are sensitive to these high sulphur containing foods. Just a thought. Todd Maderis <maderiscomcast (DOT) net> wrote: Kim, I cannot tell you why your patients MD wants her to avoid these foods. Most of them are foods we recommend for their sulphur/antioxidant/vitamin/mineral content. I would suggest contacting him/her to find out his/her rationale. Otherwise, stick to what you know is beneficial and communicate that to your patient. You have had much more training & education in nutrition than an allopathic doctor. She is working with me now to try to hang on to her gallbladder of course. But there are some vegetables and fruits listed on the avoid list and I have to assume that his reasoning is that they may somehow stimulate the gallbladder too much and cause an attack as his only goal with the diet is to prevent an attack until surgery. These are the foods: Broccoli brussel sprouts cabbage cauliflower corn cucumber garlic dried peas and beans onions green peppers rutabagas turnips sauerkraut avocado raw apple melons berries raw pineapple Everything else on the list is fatty foods and pretty obvious why to avoid. Does anyone have more insight on this list of foods above and how they may aggravate the gall bladder? Of course I want her to eat most of these foods and she is afraid to now that he gave her this. I told her I'd look into it to get the reasoning so maybe she would feel comfortable eating them again. Arghh! Kim Saxe, ND Kim E.
