Hi Kathy, Brad, and group,

Pekana remedies are wonderful german Spagyric medicines. The spagyric

process comes from the alchemical work of Paracelsus. The process involves

fermenting an herb, to produce its own unique alcohols (similar to creating

a fine wine). After the " herbal wine " is produced, the solid herb residue

is removed and burnt to charcoal. The burnt part is then placed on a

filter, and pure water is continually poured through, until mineral

crystals, from the burnt herb, form underneath. Until now, the " herbal

wine " and mineral crystals don't have a color or odor. The next part of the

process involves adding the mineral crystals back into the original " herbal

wine. " Immediately, a beautiful color and a fragrant odor form in the

solution. The new mixture is then minimally succussed, to boost its

energetic potential. From a Chinese medicine perspective, the " winemaking "

process develops the fullest yin potential of the plant. The burning of the

plant, develops the fullest yang potential of the plant. The separation,

potentiation, and reintegration of the developed parts to form a new whole,

is the spagyric process.

I want to clarify a point Kathy mentioned. I have never advocated the

suspension of the basic treatment guidelines. In fact, I think the

consistent application of the BTGs is more important for a patient than any

drainage formula with a damaging lifestyle. I think the philosophy of using

drainage medicines without the BTGs, came from Mikael . I remember him

mentioning this at one of his seminars, because he assumed patients would

not comply with major lifestyle changes. Maybe his philosophy has since

changed. I haven't attended one of his seminars in awhile.

Pekana remedies can be ordered from its American importer, BioResource, Inc.

(www.bioresourceinc.com). Mike Sheehan, BioResource President, has a lot of

integrity. Both Dick Thom and I have been impressed by Mike's willingness

to support the drainage paradigm. Very few people know that Mike was

willing to donate $25,000 to NCNM to support drainage research and fund a

book on the subject of Drainage as an Encompassing Paradigm for Health. The

" anti-drainage " powers at NCNM shot down the idea, and turned down the

money. (A few months later, they called Mike up and asked for the $25, 000

for their own projects. Mike told them where to go! :-) )

I have used Pekana remedies with Unda numbers, in the same way I have used

gemmos and gammadyns with Unda numbers. They are wonderful, and very

powerful, energetic tools to help our patients heal. Unda #'s and Pekana

spagyric medicines are very much " sister " remedies. They both come from the

" alchemical " tradition - Unda with its philosophy of pure metals, and Pekana

with its philosophy of separation and merging.

I hope this helps.
