Play nicely, my friend...that last comment was a bit harsh - this is a

well-informed group. Sometimes the mold gets to our heads a bit, doesn't it?

;-)

I found this one in PubMed - It suggests mycotoxins can be responsible for

CFS:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\

ct & list_uids=14625399 & query_hl=2 & itool=pubmed_docsum

and this saying that office workers exposed to aerosolized S. Chartarum tended

to have CFS symptoms:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=search & DB=pubmed

This one on the effects on human dendrite cells is brand new 3/06:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\

ct & list_uids=16517116 & query_hl=15 & itool=pubmed_docsum

This new one 2/06 looks at how Trichothecene effects lymphocyte functioning:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\

ct & list_uids=16472964 & query_hl=15 & itool=pubmed_docsum

And this looks interesting:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\

ct & list_uids=15369845 & query_hl=15 & itool=pubmed_DocSum

So, Dillion, I'm not sure if we're dealing with T-2 or DON in my case - do you

know about yours?

I am not talking about a blurb in an online newsletter about mold.. I

thought that this article was referring to a technical paper in a

peer-reviewed scholarly paper, somewhere..

You all do know what that means - right?

Spectacular! And when you factor in the " pre-sensitization " of Beta

Glucans that upregulates response to T2 even further - you wind up

with a mouse model that approximates our situation.

It's mind boggling for me to think that when Dr Cheney asked me to

volunteer for the CDC study group that resulted in Holmes et al

criteria for CFS, I initially refused, because I had already told

him that mold was making me ill and didn't wish to derail the CDC

investigation into viral causality.

Dr Cheney didn't seem to think that this mattered, so I went ahead

and became a participant in the study because I thought that this

would force the CDC to research any obfusticating anomaly such as

mold reactivity in a prototype for the CFS epidemic.

It never happened.

No doctor or researcher took an interest in my experience as an

original CFS definition study prototype who was connecting

mycotoxins to CFS until Dr Shoemaker heard my story and contacted me.

I'm sure that in retrospect, this oversight will seem almost

unbelievable, but that day is still in the future.
