Guest guest Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 le, Just to echo what was mentioned already - yes - going deeper and not going castor oil packs could lead to this type of flareup this deep into treatment. I would absolutely recommend that this could be the missing link and ensure that he gets back on track with doing them again. I personally would stay the course and keep going with what shows up/presents - but I don't think you need to expect flareups - just have him do the castor oil packs! Polinsky, ND Vancouver, B.C. Women and Family Medicine Q:osteoarthritis I have treated a male patient in his late 50's for a year now with drainage therapy to address his osteoarthritis in his hands (primarily) as well as a "fuzzy" feeling in his head, which makes him tired and unable to think; he also has hypercholesteremia;; he is very compliant with BTG's, usually anyways, and has made great inprovement with the fuzzy feeling, associated with hypoglycemia; haven't checked the lipids yet, but will soon. the arthritic pain has overall been better, with fluctuations in between; last visit he reported a major flare-up and was understandibly upset; his fuzzy spells got worse than ever as well; after questioning more in depth it turned out that he had not done COP's last month and we were using unda 48, 13 and 34; after this length of doing drainage, BTG's and gemmos...am I to expect flare-ups like this still or am I going wrong with my treatment? could going deeper into degeneration and liver numbers without COP's cause this flare-up? that's how I explained it to him anyways he does have a history of solvent, mercury and other metal exposure; should I address these directly with specific detox/chelation measures? or just keep going with drainage addressing what presents itself as well as global, liver, kidney, lymph numbers and expect flare-ups like this? any feedback from you all with more experience in drainage would be greatly appreciated. le Duebendorfer, ND Sandpoint, ID Quote
