Armoise/Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) distillation

Sandy Messori, here, from Rivendell Aromatics, growers of fine herbs

for distillation of oils, hydrosols and dried products.

The latest distillation of our wild locally harvested Armoise/Mugwort

yielded a small amount of rich sweet complex oil, with very little

camphor. The rising moon, just three days from full, brought out the

oils ~ the leaves and spent flower heads were glistening in the

morning sunlight as we harvested.

The hydrosol is lovely as well and makes for interesting dreams!

This year's Immortelle/Helichrysum italicum essential oil is maturing

nicely and the fully mature oil from last year is lovely. The heli

hydrosol is in great demand, so order early before we run out!
