Black Currant Leaves

I have an old recipe for Violet Potpourri which calls for the addition

of dry Black Currant Leaves (Ribes nigrum foliae). This is an

extremely rare, if not exceptional potpourri ingedient. Although I

have used Black Currant Bud absolute in the past, I am unfamiliar with

the leaves. Do they have a fragrance that would be important in a

violet accord?
