Guest guest Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Hello Group, I have a 17 year old toy poodle who just lost her 15 year old daughter suddenly Thursday night. Although she has congestive heart failure she was fine that day. The next morning she woke up with rapid breathing and although it has improved a bit it is still happening. She is also weak and staggers a bit when she walks. When she sleeps her breathing is still rapid but calmer. Her temperature is lower than average. My question is....can this be a grief reaction that will improve if her body can handle it? Is she in shock or is it a coincidence? I am giving her an anxiety homeopathic remedy from the vet as I didn't have any Unda's on hand. Any suggestions or insight? Thank you. Jocelyn L. Curtis, RNCP Cranbrook, B.C. Talk is cheap.
