Guest guest
I say take it easy! I've had migraines and if u push it too hard doing UB, that could bring it back on full force. I don't blame you for wanting to workout, even when sick I do it too....but just take it easy and stay on track with your eating! *feel better soon!* > > I have not been sick since last January when I started my first BFL > challenge this year. There are some nice soup recipes in the EFL book if you have it that are perfect for when I'm feeling sick. Colleen
Guest guest
Nutrition is like 80% of the equation. As long as you keep eating right, missing a few workouts won't hurt your progress. Take care of yourself and rest as much as you need to. It's better to take it easy for a few days and get better than to force yourself to stay on schedule no matter what. I'm an old pro at turning what would have been a 3-day cold into 3 weeks of hacking misery. Often if you don't rest you don't get better. I am sick damnit!!!! I have not been sick since last January when I started my first BFL challenge this year. That was a struggle to stay on track and not over-do things. That for me was the challenge in my challenge, not to give up. So here I am again, I wake up this am and uggggh! My head weighs 500 lbs and my sinuses are aching, my throat is scratchy, and to complicate matter I had a migraine that I nursed all day yesterday, well today it is back (not in full force, but the pressure from my sinuses and the leftover migraine really do not mix well!) So I am a mess. I missed my UBWO yesterday, so I am going to do it today, cardio is not and option right now. So tell me everyone, how have you weathered these unscheduled health events? Do you all have any tips for me? I just want to stay as much on track and maintain. Guest guest
Amen on the nutrition advice! For the last three weeks my kids have been out of school on Thursday and Friday due to religious holidays so I've just blown off the gym but eaten clean. That translates into three days of lifting and cardio and four days of rest. Have not had any negative repercussions because of continuing the clean eating. So not to worry about the sick thing. Stuff is always going to happen to mess up your workout schedule but things rarely happen to mess up the eating schedule unless you allow it to.
