Guest guest
Hello again. I copied the questions you posed and the answers follow below. Thanks... What kind of physician gave you the diagnosis of MCS and what kind of diagnostic tests were done to come to this conclusion? I saw doctors for 5 months, two ear doctors, two allergists, and a neurologist to no avail. My dizziness and lightheadedness were my main issues at the time and they could find no vertigo or other ear/neurological issues to attribute to my problems. After we found the mold at home and I smelled it at work, I saw new doctors. Two internists. One doctor works with seratonin & stress issues. They looked at my symptoms & tested my seratonin level, it is 71 and should be between 175-225. Did this doctor consider toxic mold as a causative factor in your symptoms? I discovered mold at work and home and since my allergy tests show I am allergic they attribute my problems to enviromental exposures. Is your current physician suggesting chelation? One doctor has referred me to a new doctor in the city, and suggested I look into chelation. If so, what is the purpose of the chelation? To remove heavy metals? And would this be I.V. or oral chelation? I'm not sure, I have an appointment for a consultation on the 20th of April. Have you had a hair analysis preformed by a good laboratory along with perhaps a urine provocation test? I asked the seratonin doctor about hair testing for exposure and he cited studies where it was shown to be unreliable. He took a blood test to check for heavy metals which I should get results from within about 10 days. Did you have your home tested to determine the type of mold which you had remediated? Yes, we stayed in a hotel for a month after the house tested positive since I have been sick for so long. It tested positive for low (bathroom)/moderate (basement) levels of Penicullium/asperigillus, cladosporium, and basidiospores. Do you feel you are reacting in your home and feel better away from the home or was this a complete remediation without any cross-contamination? We tried hard not to contaminate the hotel, washing all clothes when my husband went to the house, etc. I felt worst at work, feeling some (but not enough) relief at home. I left the house and after a weekend in the hotel, felt some relief from the feverishness/sleeplessness/racing pulse/exhaustion. That Monday after work it all came back to me and each day got worse. I finally called in sick and after not working for awhile the f/s/r/e symptoms subsided. Now I feel them once in awhile-when in a place w/chemicals or mold (I think), and if I am in areas of my house still chemical-smelling (from the remediation). Dizziness is off and on, definitely stronger when near the basement. > > > From: cat082574 <crmorrone@...>> > > Hi All. Guest guest
I forgot to add something...In an MRI the neurologist ordered, they found inflammation of a nerve in my ear. I think this is the source of my dizziness/lightheadedness--since a brief round of anti- inflammitories seemed to curb the symptom--fo a little while .. My workplace had a leaky pipe in the ceiling for over a year. They ignored it for a long time...finally " fixing " it after they had to replace several ceiling tiles and leaving a garbage can under it to collect the moldy-smelling water (which I dumped out--since no one else would). I just looked over the sample from the book http://www.gombach.com/schaller/SimpleMoldSample.pdf and noted that the doctor notec there are spceial treatments to turn off excess inflammation and mold toxin binders, any info on these would be greatly appreciated...thanks... > > > > > From: cat082574 <crmorrone@>> > > > Hi All.
