Well I am quitting for the sake of BFL. My husband and I really

enjoy our beer. I can easily drink 8-10 in an evening, I would drink

more except for the BFL. So far...each friday night I have been

consuming 6 beers...and its no helping the cause. Beer is a love of

mine...red wine to...its something I enjoy. The real test will be

this weekend, we have 2 parties, fri and sat night...everyone knows

me as the happy drunk...well I'm done...I care more about my body

and what I put into it than the alcohol. So...lets see how I do.

So far quitting caffine has been ok...so lets see about the alcohol!

consumer (more than 12 drinks a week) but who has since lost the

weight with proper diet and exercise.

Freeman. Wasn't he a bartender? I was hoping to find some women

though. I was talking to someone who's going through the double-

whammy of trying to quit drinking and undertake a major weight loss

at the same time. She's looking for some role models or inspiration.

had to quit drinking in order to reach their goals, and I can think

of a lot of people who have lost 100 pounds or more. I'm having

trouble thinking of someone who's tackled both. If you have any

suggestions or if you can think of a particular web site or

bodychangers interview that's escaped me, let me know.

Hi..

I want to share this with you because now I feel proud of myself..

Before I start BFL program I was drinking a 6 pack every day if not

more and smoking 2 packs of cigarretes... Yes, I was very

depressed.. But I had a decision to make.. Keep going with this and

dye or change my life and be happy for the rest of my days...

I'll be 31 next month and I was killing myself... When I satarted

with BFL i thought: " Hey, Paola if u want to be pretty, healthy,

with the best body in the world and kicking ass you have to stop

with this .... " And I did it. I just chose this kind of life... I

quit.. I said no more... and here I am...

I thought i couldn't live without a cigarrete in my mouth and a beer

in my hand... and of course i can... and the best part.. I dont miss

it...

I don't know of any women as such, but you are right about Porter

Freeman, his articles in the BFL book and in the old Muscle Media

magazines are very inspiring, man or woman. He was a bar manager and

he was definitely the beer and chips guy. He was even eating chips

and drinking beer when he read the Bill article that turned

him around!

To Paola and Chantal, fantastic you guys! Well done. I think anyone

tackling several addiction/habit issues at the same time is amazing.

All the best to you both and to Skwigg's friend.
