Guest guest Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Hi everyone, I'm Tyler Rose. I've been making natural perfume for 4 years and am happy to be amongst so many like-minded souls in this group. My question is about diluting absolutes. I've read the achives and it seems there are two camps: those who do and those who don't (Mandy Aftel being one of the latter). I've always tinctured absolutes from between 7-25% but am wondering if I haven't sacrificed fullness and staying-power for subtlety and cost? I'm about to embark on a new line of " extrait " perfumes and think this issue is central to their composition. At the risk of revisiting an old topic, I'd appreciate anyone's new thoughts on the subject. Thanks. Quote
