Guest guest
This is a very good concept. however, I think that if entered into blindly, it could lead to the further 'privatization' of air and water for the purpose of making it possible for people to buy clean air and water as 'value added' products. (in other words, of clean air and water not being free, and the default air and water not being guaranteed as such.) Kind of like the " Certified Mold Free " apartment concept. This is where we are headed anyway under the Bush administration. (Products being 'sold' as is, unless you want to pay more for quality of service guarantees.) Corporations such as Bechtel are leading the way in the privatization of natural resources, *which has led to clean water becoming unaffordable* in places like Latin America. If consumption falls in the future, corporations will look to get their profits from selling necessities for life.. not by reducing their demands..
