, thanks for all your hard work on this; right on the nail as

always. What does everyone think of the proposed solutions? I agree, I

do not want to be a SCOPH Nurse either but that is the only title the DH

would approve for the third part of the register. Should we be lobbying

for our own health visiting register on Health Professions Council since

NMC cannot regulate us or ensure suitable standards for health visiting

practice? There was quite strong support for that idea when we met in

Novemberto prepare the response for the NMC and it would offer a

positive way forward. We need to discuss this at the meeting on 20th

January, and have views from anyone unable to attend before that.

I attach a one-page summary of problems that health visiting has tried

to solve in recent years, with current status, in case it is useful for

anyone. It will not paste, as it is in table format.

Sorry Vari; stopped storing attachments on their web pages

in the middle of last year. One of the down sides of getting the daily

digest is that there is no longer any way of accessing attachments,

short of asking the sender send to email you individually. I will do

that! Best wishes
