Guest guest
workload profiling tool Dear all two requests for help Following on from what Jane wrote below about how we are reviewing our child health surveillance programme in Haringey,as part of it I am hoping to write it up as we go along using action research as part of my MSc in Public health. if anyone has any experience of action research in similar areas could they email me Also in Haringey we have a backlog of children who missed out on their BCG in 2002-2003 when there was a problem with the vaccine. I am trying to recruit some bank nurses for a period of 3-6 months to immunise these children -does anyone have a JD for a NBCG immunisation nurse Many Many Thanks Pat > >Grant Jane wrote: > >> >>Here in Haringey we are revewing our child health surveillance programme >>and our health visiting service together ( using Hall 4 as one of the >>tools) We have convened a steering group and a number of smaller working >>parties with health visitors, midwives, managers et al. Guest guest
Pat In Oxford City, since November 03, a health visiting team has developed a Community Child Health Clinic:BCG for babies for similar reasons. At present 2 health visitors, using a community public health approach, who already routinely immunise babies, have learned how to give BCG and also Heaf skin tests, backed by the PCT Patient Group Directive. The team includes a nursery nurse and also community nursing clerk and is being rolled out to liaise closely with our midwives, neonatal IC nurse and volunteer HVs in neighbouring PCTs in the county. Please get in touch by phone if further information would be helpful. Marjorie Talbot Health visitor St Clements Surgery 39 Temple Street Oxford.
