I learned a bunch about diabetes type II when my husband got it. Sure

enough, just as Stasia points out, the doctor has had him focus on daily

exercise, losing weight and eating better. Whenever Lee does this, his

blood sugar numbers drop to a normal range. When he skips exercising or

starts eating a lot of junk, they go right back up.

I have a diabetic friend (non-insulin dependent) who's more likely to have

seriously LOW blood sugar than too high... but that could also be because

he's unemployed and often doesn't have any food.

Oh yes, lack of food will get ya, too. The whole deal with diabetes is to

shoot for a fairly consistent blood sugar level. Which, incidentally, is

one reason BFL fits it so nicely.

BFL is REALLY diabetes friendly. Could cut the dosages of type II

medicine needs if not eliminate the need altogether after a while.

My son could lose weight if he took up BFL because it would reduce

his insulin needs. The large amounts of insulin he takes causes

weight gain, as we all know, which, in his case is required because

of the massive quantities of food he consumes.
