Guest guest
Rosie, The book just came out last week. It looks much like " My House is Killing Me! " with tips at the end of chapters and plenty of stories from the field. We look at what goes wrong in schools (tragic!), court houses, hospitals, retail spaces, cars, airplanes, pools, even police stations, etc. The big difference between the two is that the suggestions we make in the first book have to do with making changes in one's environment. People in sick buildings are, by and large, powerless to make the kinds of changes a homeowner can make, so our focus is on understanding what might be happening, on eliminating possible sources of problems, on doing limited testing to determine the causes of IAQ problems, on understanding how professional testing should be done and how to make sense of the results in a test report. There is so much nonsense out there. How many times have you all heard that " we had the place tested and there is nothing wrong " ? It must all be in your head. Thanks for asking! C.
