Guest guest
, My chiropractor is into this machine and I have borrowed one from time to time. Essentially it is simply an infra-red sauna in smaller, portable form. I have used it for back and sacral pain for myself and for a sprained ankle on my husband. It hellped his ankle heal much faster than expected and I had some relief from my discomfort but not a ton. I am uncertain about many of the claims and testimonials about it but I think you can assume that the benefits of infrared sauna in general would apply to the Hothouse. I have created a whole body sauna with one machine by putting a blanket over it and me creating a tent for the heat to build up. I got a full sauna effect as far as the sweating goes. What's good about infrared saunas is that they can get the body sweating with less external heat because you are essentially heating the body from the inside out so this is much less stressful on the body and adrenals. There is soome good research about infrared sauna in general as far as detoxifying from all the fat soluble chemicals. In fact, you should shower off right away with soap and water so you don't reabsorb toxins. And do all the other detox support stuff as well. I had used it for 1-2 hours daily for a week or so without washing off or anything and I did feel quite fatigued and sick so feel like it really was moving crap (to put it technically). I am thinking about getting a sauna in my office soon and was debating whether I wanted to get a walk-in infrared or get the three domes to make a full sauna that people can lay under. One point someone made was that the hothouse is nice because you can stay under it longer than you might tolerate sitting in a walk in sauna as the heat builds up. Either way, I think the saunas are very valuable. So, this was long winded but the take-home point of my opinion is that I think you can assume it does what any infrared sauna would do but the rest of the claims?-who knows. Hey, but if you decide you don't want it, I might want to buy it off you so keep me posted as to your experience with it. Kim Saxe, ND Milwaukee, WI Lambert <drangelandlac@...> wrote: Greetings. I have not used it yet having never heard of it. It is something one lays underneath and it provides a sauna-type experience. It provides "8-10 micron FIR rays" into the body (as if I know what that means). Has anyone ever heard of this machine or used it? What are your thoughts on this type of product. It was given to me so I am not attached, simply curious if anyone has ever heard of it. THanks! Dr. P.
