Congrats on the PG! I was just about to ask about losing weight

while breastfeeding (I'm not having much luck. Still have about 15

lbs to go).

I definitely would stay away from Myoplex while PG. I've read that

protein powder is ok, unless you don't want the artificial

sweetners. I currently use Optimum nutrition and I think it's

sweetened with Stevia which is the safest AS out on the market.

Just my .02. Good luck with your PG and staying healthy. I had

morning sickness and had trouble eating right. And toward the end of

my PG I was just bad period.

Congrats again!

I contacted EAS when I was either pg or nursing (can't remember which) and I

believe they said Myoplex was okay, but nothing else. (No Betagen, or

Creatine... and OBVIOUSLY no Thermogenics!)

HTH... but still contact EAS directly to make sure I'm not mistaken!

Using Myoplex during pregnancy

Hi everyone,

I'm more a lurker than a regular (from the UK).

I am in my fourth challenge but just found out I am pg ;-) It was

totally planned and we are over the moon. I will obviously be re-

structuring my workouts but I do tend to have a myoplex every day,

split into two (am and pm). I'm guessing the advice from EAS/you

guys will be not to have it, just because it's probably never been

tested in pg and quite frankly it's not worth the risk. Makes me

wonder just what's in it!! Has anyone used it in pg?

Hope you are all fine and dandy.

Makes me

Hope you are all fine and dandy.

Congrats on the pregnancy! Regarding the myoplex, I ate one

occasionally during my third trimester - by that time, all the

nerve/brain important connections are made, and the baby is mostly

gaining weight (now don't take this as dr's advice - I decided it

based on internet research). I am nursing right now and I eat one

every day (but the baby is 18 months, and I'm trying to wean him -

he only nurses at night and first thing in the a.m.) He even has a

couple of bites of the bar when I eat it, so whatever he's getting

passed through the breastmilk is negligible compared to what he's

actually ingesting. Maybe he'll turn out to have a " bodyforlife "

without ever having to go through the " have to lose it " stage! LOL

Congrats again and good luck with a healthy pregnancy - sounds like

you're already on your way!

No, I did not. I was told not to. the only thing I was allowed to eat were

the Myoplex bars.
