Valley Fever Cases Continue To Spike

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of Valley Fever

cases. The lung disease is caused by fungus spores in the soil.

In the first two months of this year 1,000 cases were reported.

Health officials say reported cases are a fraction of the actual

number of cases. In a typical year, 2,700 cases are reported.

Most people who get Valley Fever have mild or no symptoms and others

can require hospitalization.
