Eating after weights workout

Hey Ladies. I'm wondering what your thoughts are regarding eating

immediately after a weights workout...or waiting the full hour. I

have about 20-25 lbs of fat to lose (28% BF) and wasn't sure if there

would be more benefit to " feeding " my muscles within 30 minutes of

the weights workout (I do all of my exercising in the morning right

when I wake up...after my coffee, of course!) What do you all think?

My opinion is that yes, you should feed your muscles after you work

then!

The one hour rule does not apply to weight training. After you're done your

weight routine, your body is essentially screaming for some carbs and protein,

replenishing those glycogen stores if anything should be the first thing you do

:)

Hi Ann. I'm glad you asked that - my husband is always telling

me that I should have a protein shake or my last meal right after my

w/o. I always wait until 8:30ish b4 having my meal (1-1/2 hrs after

my w/o). So ... I had that same question :-)
