Guest guest
Hello, It's Laurie (MicahAndsMom) ... I haven't written for quite some time, nor have I read any of the group's messages due to illness. I've just checked my inbox and I have 11,000 unread messages from SickBuildings. Woah. That's going to take some time. : ) I wanted to write to you all and tell you all " thank you " - when I first joined SickBuildings it was June or July of last year. I was looking for information on mold and found you all right away. Each and every one of you told me to " Get Out Now! " and I had the nerve to complain at that response. My deepest apologies ... I thought to myself " Now how am I supposed to just pack my family up and go just like that with no place to go? " But you all were right - and I should not have complained AT ALL because you knew what you were talking about. We did leave, in August of last year ... our illnesses, although, have become much worse. My husband, thank God, did not get sick. My daughters and I were not so lucky. We've been diagnosed with severe mycotoxicosis, asthma and hypersensitivity to alternaria and aspergillus. We're now going in for cancer screenings and are waiting for an appointment with a Neurologist due to swelling of the brain (our skull felt too small for some reason ... lots of pressure). That brings me to my next thing I want to say to KC and Sharon ... First, you all are the best. Second - since my husband did not get sick, he doesn't understand what we're going through. Neither do my parents, whom we are currently living with. Somehow it seems as though they've all " ganged up " on us and are just " so sure " we're " faking " these symptoms. Though they've seen all of the doctor's reports, medications, etc. My husband now wants a divorce. I remember reading many people's stories where after mold exposure / illness, marriages seem to fall apart. It's a shame. KC ... you are so wonderful for what you're doing and have done for Sharon. Your wife became ill from toxic molds and you've made it your life to learn all you can and help your wife through all of this - and (both of you) your mission to spread the word to the world ... I cannot thank you enough. I think of you two alot and know you've been blessed by God to have one another .... and we are all also blessed to have the two of you (and others ... Sharon K. especially) helping us through this nightmare and all of your work to spread the word - get laws changed - and by all that you all do. (forgive the slightly confusing lingo ... like I said ... we're not doing all that well) Again, thank you so very much to all of you. I hope and pray you are all doing well or on your way to doing well. ~ Laurie --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
